Default 11.2.1 stops playback when removing plugins

As the title says, when i remove plugins from an insert, playback stops! New for me. Until now playback was just interrupted but kept on playing.

Maybe Mac only. Doesn't happen on my PC.

For me it depends on the plugin and how much cpu usage it takes up. It's inconsistent at best and I rarely see it. Also depends on what the plugin does to the track audio. Plugins that do look-ahead processing can make things stop when removing them and transport is running.

That's a bad habit anyway. The surest way to get ADC to stop reporting correctly is to add or remove plugins during playback, as has been the case for many, many years. We do this (as well as copying plugins across tracks), but it's never a surprise when we need to restart the computer because ProTools fails to properly keep things in time.
