Hey Eddie, thanks for your help so far.

The IPs are the same except for the last 3 digits.
So it's like: xxx.xxx.1.209 the iPad & it's xxx.xxx.1.212 for the mac

Quick question... Can I have the ethernet cable plugged into the mac at the same time while running the wifi connection?

That may be causing some confusion. Try turning off WiFi on the Workstation and restarting everything.

I’ll try this when I get home. But I thought that both the iPad and the Mac has to be connected to the same WiFi network?
Can I have the iPad on the WiFi network and have the Mac just connected via Ethernet cable and still have the 2 machines speak to each other to facilitate Pro Tools Control Guide?

Yes as long as they both go back to your router (which it sounds like they do)

Whats the make and model of the router, EUCON uses Apple Bonjour to discover surfaces and some block it by default. Can you check the EUCON prefs and make sure the right network adapter is selected on the Mac.

My router is a Verizon Fios G-1100.
What do you mean by network adapter?

The network adapters are the wifi and ethernet ports.

I did some searching online and see a lot of users of your router having similar issues. This is advanced and you should do this at your own risk but I see that disabling this setting in your router is said to fix the communication issue between cable and wifi.

Tried this. No go. I am convinced that my particular iPad is not supported. Though I cannot verify that at the moment. My old iPad2 was recognized by Eucon Control, though I still couldn't get it connected. I can't believe this is so difficult. I feel like a prisoner of the 2 companies (Apple & Avid) I least like, but most need!
What a pickle!!!!

If the Control App installs and runs then it should connect...I'm the Product Manager so should know ;-) It has to be a networking issue.
