LaCie d2 Quadra V3 - new firmware to solve firewire issue

Did this firmware upgrade resolve the ECO Mode problems on these drives?
And also when you upgraded the firmware, were you able to keep all your data on the drive? Or did you back it up?

Big trouble with these 3 units that I have! Firmware didn't help.
Sended to LaCie, they replaced 2 of them.
With Pt impossible to use. At the end I bought LaCie d2 Quadra V2.
I think the problem is the controller inside of the units.
I'm very sad because d2 Quadra are nice disks. I have 4 d2 v2 that work perfect with 88.2/24 big sessions. Impossible to do with V3!!!!
At the end I will use for back up only....
LaCie didn't answer me what are the problems and if they will resolve in future releases of the units. My suggestion is to search around d2 V2.
V2 version have Firewire 400 & 800, Usb 2.0 and Sata.
V3 have Usb 3.0.
