Default PT9 Audio Loops CD

What if anything have you done with the PT9 Loops CD?
Have any of you copied the folders to your hard drive?
Would you put these on your system drive with your plugins, or on a separate non-session drive? Would you bother coping them at all?
Just curious.

I didn't get any loops. Were they supposed to come with PT9? What's the library called?

I bought the boxed set from Sweetwater and I installed it today. I upgraded from PTMaudio8 and there was a disc titled Pro Tool Loops, no instructions, just a disc full of all different style loops. Boxed set had drivers disc, imstall/upgrade disc and the Loops disc.

Thanks. I sent Avid a request for the CD...

I loaded them on my sample library drive.

there is some usable stuff in there.

I've used a couple piece in conjunction with elastic audio to change the pitch as ideas that were replayed later. And one set of bits (Horns i think) were used in a song already)

some percussion loops I think a shaker or two were cool as well.

the few bits I listened to were well recorded as sample libraries go.

I'm not seeing them in the download section of My Avid account. I suspect that they are a perc for the buyers of the boxed upgrade. I also purchased a set of backup disks from the Avid Store and the Loops Disk is included.

It looks like the same set of loops included in PT 8.0.

I would say its nothing to get excited over. Others might disagree.

For those who might not have a clue...including me...

Exactly how do you use those loops...do you drag n' drop them into a track or what?
