Default Simple Looping Question

I'll go ahead and ask this because I am sure I am just overcomplicating the issue. But here it is.....

Here is what I have:

Track 1: Bass
Track 2: Toms
Track 3: Snare
Track 4: Cymbals/Hi hats

I have each set up in XPand and here is my problem. I just want a standard 4/4 beat for an entire song. Simple. Reason for this is that as a drummer, I have an easier time following a beat to lay down guitar tracks vs the click track. With a simple 4/4 beat, I can go back in and just add additional fills, etc.

The problem I have is if I cut/paste a single measure and add it, it eventually goes way out of time. I know there is a simple way to say start at 1/1 and end at whatever without it going crazy. l looked under edit and the loop function wasnt available.

Any takers?

(I know this is going to be stupid simple...flame away if necessary) LOL

Are you copying and pasting (or Duplicating) Regions in Grid mode?

Loop is on the Transport bar. Option click Play icon to cycle through option.

I was just doing a copy and paste (which I am sure is wrong) in grid mode.

So your Regions are 1 bar/4 beats long, exactly, and in time?

Yep. But then when I copy it, it seems to slip in time. What I thought I would be able to do is just highlight that area, and set a parameter for how many measures I want it to loop.

If you highlight an area it will loop if Loop Playback is enabled.
