Yeah. I mean, he'll be just fine for what we do. 254 plugins is an ass load! I don't think I've ever used more than 40 in a single session, and that's a lot to me! Plus, I'd rather not experiment with OC'ing someone elses brand new machine, especially when I'm 50 miles away! But I would like to learn for myself.

I noticed this too. If there is one thing that makes me want to move to another product from another company it's the fact this specific link is dead. Crazy friggin' ironic.

EDIT: Looks like they fixed the links. Hooray!!!

Hey guys,

do things run better/smoother when using three WD black 32mb cache HDs: one for system, one for music, one for samples. or is using 2 the same?

i take it it matters if i get a 32mb or a 64mb cache? should i just stick to 32mb as it's the one betting tested?

this isn't the PSU that whistles, right? i remember reading about that one a while ago: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817341010

most of the RAM on the first pg is older and not avialable. is this one cool as well. i know that i should be looking for specific timing. is 8-8-8-24 good or is there something else that helps the system move better? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820227365

sorry for the onslaught of questions.

thanks.

that RAM is good, but its low voltage. some (older) motherboards don't support it. What Mobo do yo have?

PSU - I like this one, but hey thats just me.

Hey mano111,

i'm using the Gigabyte GA-x58a UD3R
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-423-_-Product

haha. *side note.
i've been waiting for a month now for this board to go back down to $199 with free shipping. it's been $209 plus shipping for a while now. only $20 more, i know, but every dollar counts when building this system. i check it every day. i checked it twice this morning. same. i go back to its newegg page to add it to this reply and Bang, it's back down to $199 with free shipping. i just quickly purchased it. thanks mano for the help. i owe you one.

how do i check the voltage of my board matching my RAM?

thanks for the PSU tip. looks good to me. most of the original systems on pg 1, the psu are not sold anymore.

thanks.

yeah, like guitardom said, that board works with that ram.
Corsair PSUs are made by Seasonic so ... I'd go with either (I have both)
