M-Audio Fast Track C600 + Allen Heath Xone 23 + Mac OS X

Hey guys...i hope someone can help me.

i want to record a vinyl mix with my 2 technics and my allen & heath xone23 mixer. to plug my mixer into the c600 i use a cinch to 6.3 mm cable and put it in the first input. then i plug the c600 with the usb cable on my laptop and open the software.

i can see that the c600 euqalizer is reacting on the screen, but how can i record the music i am playing with the technics? i would like to record a mix ...thanks for your help!

You have three options:

• Run TS cables from the Record outs of the mixer to a pair of line inputs of the C600 (unbalanced)
• Run XLRF to TRS cables from the Mixer's main outs to a pair of line inputs of the C600 (balanced)
• (if a Xone:23C) Use the mixer as a USB sound card

it is indeed a xone 23C. But I dont really get how you mean using the mixer as a usb sound card.

The 23C has a USB output to connect with the Mac. But how should I involve the C600 in that? Recording a vinyl mix with the 23C simply doesnt work properly thats why i want to use the C600 as an interface.

The solution I also thought about was using TS cables from the record out of the mixer, plug it into the C600 and record it with the software.

But here is my main issue...how can I tell the software to now record what is coming through this pair of line inputs? I didnt really get that. Maybe you can explain that.
