Default HELP: AAF Import Error

Could not complete your request because Assertion in "/Volumes/Development/158347/ProTools/NewFileLibs/FF/Audio/FF_AudioFile.cpp", line 1045.

(Use the Copy button to copy this message to the clipboard.).

System, Mac PT HD Native on OS10.10.5 / PT 12.4

System had been rock solid and I load files multiple timers a day but today I'm stuck.

I've trashed Prefs, tried three different computers, including a Windows Machine and these files will not load. I've tried track by track but nothing seems to be working.

Did it come from Premiere? I've seen funky things on the timeline cause this. Or files with illegal characters. Embedded or referenced?

Came from AVID, which apparently can no longer export OMFs.

Good to know you have it working.
From Avid MC AAF exports are almost always more robust than OMF's. The Editor can (IMO should) check the AAF Edit Protocol option and PT 10/12 compatible option (I have not needed to try the PT 10/12 option) with AAF exports to Pro Tools.

Agree that AAF is a better option. Less quirky for sure. I've just never had a panic attack like this before.

I wonder if the sequence had some odd source file that was throwing it off.
