Help:Quantize/MIDI Problem
Has anyone experienced quantization problems with performances recorded on a Yamaha Clavinova P-300? LE records and plays the midi data fine until it is quantized, then all the notes sound truncated even though they are not changed at all physically. It seems as if it should be a problem of the keyboard, but basic troubleshooting seems to point to the MIDI data.
Any expertise or suggestions would be appreciated. |

Re: Help:Quantize/MIDI Problem
I have never witnessed the Quantize feature alter the data in this manner. Unless there is some strange controller messages that the Clavinova is sending, MIDI data is MIDI data, regardless of where it comes from so I too doubt that the input device is at fault. However, you should confirm this by trying another MIDI input device and see if the behavior persists. In addition, make sure that you are not applying any changes to the data via the "Change Duration" window.
