Default !!New Video Monitors..Woo Hoo!!!

I finally got some new monitors, all I can say is wow. Two Samsung 213T's and one Samsung 715v. Here's a link to a new studio picture on the website with the new monitors. They look great I can read them from across the room. I'm so excited I just had to tell you all my good news.

I got them last week from new egg. The Samsung 213t's were $653 but had a $100 mail in rebate. The 715v was $234. For all three, $1340 after rebates (free fed ex too). Pretty good deal I thought.

Why the third monitor? Are you running 3rd party programs in the background that you bring up on the third monitor now?
Great looking studio bro.

Thanks Allen!!!

I run two LE systems (syncing them gets me through sessions that need more than 18 ins). Right now the 213t monitor on the left is for one LE system (the 001), and the 213t and 715v monitors on the right are for the other system (the 002r). If I want, I can switch the 002r system to the 21.3"'s if needed. The possibilties are endless (kinda). I love em.

It's also cool for keeping the DUC up on one side while recording on the other.

Hey there third eye!
You have a nice studio mate...
i see that the live room looks kinda like a front room!.. was that on purpose? or is it a dual purpose room?
how are you finding business? seems like you charging a very similer rate to what i would like to charge at my studio... does it work for ya?

cheers there!

Third eye that control room looks awesome man. You've got me rethinking my next purchase.

I'm about to update the production side of my studio with a Roland MV-8000 and a Motif ES 7.

I know I need a new Pre and some new plugs, but my first love is production.

But again that's a really nice setup, thanks for sharing.

The studio is a house that we are still converting into a studio. Two of us live here (with two cats) still also.

I've been recording, playing in bands, and doing live sound around this area for a long time now. I still work for a live sound company and still make the major part of my living from that. So I guess so far most of our business comes from word of mouth and people I meet. Also, when we first got this place together we gave some time away to some popular bands around, kind of a little studio promo. We gave away a couple 2 song demos. They spread the word for us too.

I'm thinking of going to a straight hourly rate, like Doc said he is. You can give up too much time with the package deals sometimes.
