Default Next-gen Avid Pro Tools Sneak Peek at AES

I see from AES the Atmos renderer is moving inside ProTools and Izotope RX spectral editor in ARA.

I am loving the idea of these updates, hopefully they deploy with 2023.12

I'm dying to know how/if the internal renderer will play with HDX and the DSP.

Wonder if the Atmos renderer will be Mac-only?

Good news about RX ARA - looks like it's simply attenuate or replace, but that's so much of what I do it's still useful. Would be great if a few of the other most-used modules like mouth de-click were available for those with licenses.

And PLEASE make it a floating window!

Thanks for sharing. I'm on windows, so my burning question is, " Will I be able to retire the external renderer and all the extra Dante gear required to make it work?" I would have been very disappointed if it was only a Mac feature.

That's what it's all about. But the internal Dolby renderer will offer fewer functions, I believe, than the external one. It remains to be seen whether the internal will be sufficient for most needs. I think it will.

Really looking forward to the release of this announced version.

The OPs link to the video is not working, here it is : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AqDB21fDHI0

I'd be happy with a bunch of delay compensation/latency bug fixes please...

I'm impressed that you won't need a license for those features. I hope, however, that it will have instant process as an option. It gets tedious to hit process after every selection.

Yes.

If they only added this one feature, I would be completely satisfied with the update.

That's great news, thanks.

I assume this will be an Ultimate only feature? It would make sense to have something really substantive that is Ultimate-only.

Oh yes please - I hadn't clocked that. Without it, and with only those two functions, the ARA becomes a bit less useful - it might be quicker to zip it back and forth the old fashioned way.

It would be great if they opened PT to other ARA apps
