Re: waves_complete_ v9-r20 installation newbie question
What waves licenses do you have then? Just trash the plist from Avid and digidesign and restart. You might just need to delete the Waves shell installer and do the plist deleting and reinstall the waves plugins you do have. If you have say Gold bundle you do Not check any of the single plugins, just waves bundle and that installs all the bundled plugins.

Re: waves_complete_ v9-r20 installation newbie question
I think this might have something to do with it so I will post screenshot of license center blurb/download it in hopes it can help someone else who has just purchased the latest greatest MAC and tries to load Gold Native V9.2.1. Its taking awhile to download, I will post if it works.

Re: waves_complete_ v9-r20 installation newbie question
Christopher, I am totally new to the whole MAC osx , I could not find the "preference file" you referred to. I looked in system preferences and under Macintosh HD. Tried the "find" function, no luck there either. Any help as to how to get to that file would be dearly appreciated.

Re: waves_complete_ v9-r20 installation newbie question
Seems like a lot of unneeded steps here, and that Sweetwater article may be out of date.
Waves has included an uninstall utility for a few years now that is installed with any Waves plugin. I'm not in front of my computer, but I believe it's under Applications>Waves>Utilities. This will be the best way to go about it, since it's made for that purpose. Also, the fact that you clicked each individual plugin to install may have caused the problem in the first place. if you have the Gold bundle, or any bundle, you don't need to do that. That's only for people who buy individual plugins. In the Waves installer, you just need to click on Gold bundle, and it will install everything in the bundle. Since you clicked to install the individual plugins, the Waves License Center is probably looking for separate licenses for every individual plugin you clicked on, as if you had bought them all individually. But that's not what you have. You have a license for the Gold bundle. So in the Waves installer, click on the Gold bundle to install, and then your license should match up. Of course do this after you have run the Waves uninstall utility. The uninstaller will show every Waves item that's still on your computer and tell you to put a check on what you want to uninstall. Check every single item, so that you can start over clean. |

Re: waves_complete_ v9-r20 installation newbie question
You have to do this :
With Finder as the active application, hold the Option key and click on the Go menu at the top of the screen. Then you will see the "hidden library" where you will see the correct folder and files to delete. The Sweetwater article is very up to date NST7 Regarding the Waves Gold Bundle, thats what I wrote, you only have to check that bundle and no single plugins. Just in case, delete the plist as PT will re-scan all your plugins after thats done so it is a clean registry before you install Waves again. Christopher

Re: waves_complete_ v9-r20 installation newbie question
ONLY check the one that says "GOLD" and nothing else if you haven't bought any other bundle or single plugin.
Thats all you need to install Christopher PS. We always install the top one aswell (license center) so we know we have the latest version.

Re: waves_complete_ v9-r20 installation newbie question
OK, lemmee try. LOL, , I don't have an "option" key and it took me an hour just to figure out how to convert a windows keypad into a MAC keypad so I could have a "command" key just to post you guys screen shots. .... I have been working on this crazy thing all friggin day. 9 hours later, a sore rear end, an aching back, and a beautiful lost cool, crisp fall afternoon, ...and I feel I am getting closer . You guys are great. Standbye for more. Hopefully this will work.
