Re: 2018.1 to 2018.10: No improvements, only new bugs
2018.10 here.
When naming MIDI clips Pro Tools gets mixed up as to which clip is which. "ePiano V1" and "ePiano V2" I delete "ePiano V2" and it also deletes "ePiano V1" MIDI mirror editing is off. I am now working with no spaces in the name "ePiano_V1" to see if that helps..... John Clavin

2018.7 was a big step forward for my workflows. Not bug-fee, but stable if you're lucky enough to have a Windows video card that's fully compatible. Have stayed there, because .10 seems buggier, judging from complaints on this forum and the Pro Tools Windows User Group on Facebook.

I'm really happy with 2018.7 and .10 with the exception that some VI's and plugins latency is not compensated for.

could you explain what you mean with "not compensated"? during the playback?

I'm also liking what Avid has been doing. I sold Studio One v4 because I just prefer PT overall and Avid continues to make improvements.
Looking forward to folder tracks and ARA (hopefully). Also still want to see more MIDI editor improvements, like option to have note names displayed on the notes and a higher contrast UI (barely can find the cursor in the editor sometimes and the notes need higher contrast too against the grid). |

I also sold my Cubase Pro license due to the many bugs and issues that were causing a headache for me. Pro Tools has been working flawlessly with my system and I can happily focus on music creation.
