Hey Nedd, I have a session on Tuesday and I will show up early to do some tests with M2 and Command|8 more extensively.

Well, looks like I am eating crow here today; the Command|8 will NOT enter Online Mode with Pro Tools 2023.6 in native mode. I got the faders to fly up and down (my initial observation), but they will not communicate with Pro Tools. I'm sorry for potentially getting people's hopes up, but it looks like the Command|8 train has finally de-railed. I will edit my initial post.

thanx anyway, it was a pinch of hope...but it's shut down by Avid, she was lasting very long time. And still dance in miss Rosetta's mode: -)

Do you think Artist Series has much legs left? Since we're axing decade+ old hardware, apparently?

I think they'll give out physically before losing compatibility. They aren't the most robust pieces of gear.

I don't get why there is a Pro Tools driver for the rosetta 2 version and in the native silicon version is not implemented.
Another reason not to buy an Avid controller, since there is the risk of having a very expensive piece of metal with no use. Just like the Eleven rack...
I will certainly but a different controller... maybe the SSL

I will not buy any controller from them, anymore.
Just like making a vintage neve not passing audio so you buy a new one.
This is Mafia stuff.
The already did that with the Eleven rack, offering it at a bargain price and then not implementing a simple driver to make it work as a simple interface. This is something I will never forgive them...
