Default Intensity Pro question

How well does it work with pro tools and is it worth getting. I know someone will chime in and tel me to get the HD extreme. I don't want that one.

I have the Intensity Pro and it works tremendously well with Pro Tools (and Final Cut too). Especially coming from a Canopus, getting the Intensity Pro felt like the noose was taken off of my neck. It's about the same price as the Canopus was when new.

Agreed, probably the best "under $200" upgrade you can make, especially coming from a Canopus.

For those of you getting the BM Intesity Pro coming from canopus, how much more if any CPU usage did you notice?

I´ve not noticed any difference. I´m sure there is a bit, but were talking a few percent only. But the system really shows side effects displaying video.

I seem to remember someone doing a test of this when the Intensity was new.
Canopus vs intensity vs video window if I recall.

Thanks for the 411.

And what side affects? forcing 4:3 to 6:9 issues or something else?
And what codecs are you running through it?
