Question Digi 002r audio manager problems.

Hi i have Digi002r and digi core audio manager as audio interface.

My problem is that after working some time, the DCAM disconnects and i am unable to hear anything. I then have to log out shut my Digi002 down for a few seconds and log in again. But it occurs on a very random basis.

Usually when it happens, the DCAM says "not connected (hardware in use)" but once in a while it says it's connected.

The audio manager version is 7.4

Anybody knows the problem, and a solution?

Matias.

Does it show that it's 'not responding'?

You should try this:

Quit out of all open applications.

Trash the following preference files:

1. Mac HD > Users > (Your User Name) > Library > Preferences > com.apple.systempreferences.plist (delete this file)
2. Mac HD > Users > (Your User Name) > Library > Preferences > com.apple.audio.AudioMIDISetup.plist (delete this file)
3. Mac HD > Users > (Your User Name) > Library > Preferences > com.digidesign.CoreAudioManager.plist (delete this file)
4. Mac HD > Users > (Your User Name) > Library > Preferences > ByHost > com.apple.systempreferences.xxxxxxxxxxxx.plist (delete this file)

Empty the trash, restart and let me know if it's working or not.

I tried to trash the preferences you mentioned some days ago. I can't say it helped much.

It's rather random if it shows that it has disconnected. Sometimes it says "hardware not found" Sometimes it plays a high pitch note through my speakers until i reboot, and sometimes it just stops playing.

When i work in Pro Tools i usually don't have the problem, i suppose it's a DCAM problem.

Oh. it's getting worse all the time.
I heard that it could be a hardware error!

You should contact tech support by phone - this may be a symptom of a harness issue and they can help diagnose and get that fixed if needed.
