Hello!

I have the same problem -Unable to locate M-Audio hardware when I start
Pro Tools Essential.
I also have Fast Track and the latest drivers and I have changed the usb port.
What I'm doing wrong? or what is missing?

I've resolved
install last m-audio driver and your pro tools sistem won't have problems anymore.....they probably posted a wrong version of the driver for win xp but now everything is ok...

I am having the same problem. Unable to locate M-Audio hardware when starting M-Powered 8.01cs1 or any previous version. Bummer! I Hope digi is aware of this.

Anyone having any success with XP, the new Fast Track, and any version of M-Powered???

What version and from where did you get the latest driver? I am going to the M Audio Drivers web site, is there a different location perhaps?

control panel then sound icon then go to recording tab and see if the fast track is listed and selected as recording device. should work, also playback device needs to be your sound card of course...

Have you followed the instructions in the Installation video in the sticky at the top of this forum exactly?
