Great news if VST's works in rewire. in Ableton Live they are disabled. Do you have information that confirms this? Hope you are right. That would be awesome!!

Any RE in Reason will have to connect to a mix channel, and all mix channels can have their outputs routed to Rewire. So, I don't see that as an issue.

I guess the lack lustre RE development from most of the established plugin manufacturers finally got them to cave.

Huh ?? We use VST in Ableton Live9 Suite all day long. Both AU and VST works great on Mac but has two folders so we have to change folder on the right side to use either AU or VST so that is false info.

Ahh. Good to hear that it's possible to use vst/au in rewire slave mode now!!! :) I have an older version of live. Will upgrade if this is possible!

Yeah I use vst/au plugins in Live when running as standalone. I'm talking about rewire slave mode here.. Will download Suite 9 trial now to check for myself.

really sorry to be the one with the bad news, but as per Ableton, 9.5 rewire is not going to allow VST in rewire mode

Oddly Reaper is seemingly the only Slave that allows this...
