d-Command and MC Transport / You cannot use EUCON with other Ethernet controllers
Hi Guys,
I would like to use the MC Transport but "unfortunately" i already own a d-command. When i try to use both i get a message "You cannot use EUCON with other Ethernet controllers". I tried to configure the transport as a HUI control in protools but that doesn't seem to work. Anyone know of a work-around? Thanx! Wouter

When you tried to configure your Artist unit as HUI, how was it connected to your computer (or hub or switch)?
I'll bet it was connected with an Ethernet cable, right? And the manual says, "You cannot use EUCON with other Ethernet controllers". I'm reasonably certain there are no workarounds...

It's like when you combine hui with eucon and metering disappears. It's not a bug but a limitation of hui. Eucon can carry 5.1 metering, hui (and legacy Avid Ethernet protocol) can only carry stereo meters. I'm sure there are other clashes that are not easily resolved as well.
