moving sessions...
hey all...in my studio i work with a mac..a partner of mine is getting 001..he already owns a pc...what are the ups and downs of workin back and forth on sessions...is it even possible?...thanks

The only issue I can imagine would be the loss of the resouce fork for the session file going from Windows to Mac. I think that just might prevent you from being able to launch the session file directly (by double clicking it for example) rather than using File->Open from within Protools.

I'm not sure about third-party plug-ins, but both sessions and digi plug-in settings are 100% transferrable. I gave my friend a CD with files and session from Mac (digi001) , he edited it at home on PC (AM III) and e-mailed me session file. Everything works.

I just did this recently, and my friend with the Windows couldn't read the Sound Designer II files. I had to convert them all to Wave files. I heard that Windows PT wass supposed to read SD2 files.
