iLok owned by someone else PLEASE HELP

I just put a support ticket into iLok... #SI2569624

Is there anyone at iLok that monitors this forum? My iLok must have been returned because it's saying it's registered to someone else from like 2 years ago... I can't deactivate it or anything, so I'm stuck.

I will escalate this to Avid. Ilok folks basically don't come here as they have a support system on their own website.

Hold on and someone will look into this

Hi,

Where did the ilok come from? was it new from a retailer? if yes then take it back to them. second hand iloks have to be empty and removed from anyone's account to be sold and re-synced to a new account, so sounds like this is what has happened but previous user hasn't removed it from their account. but if this was supposed to be a new ilok then thats what you should get.

Hi Southside or any one that can help I don't remember my old account info to my ilok key I have the s/n box and all from when I first got it ... I just don't remember what email or password I used.....

Pace/iLok does have an account recovery feature on their website:

Though you do need to be able to add your old email address. I know you said that you don't remember it, but maybe you can try a few guesses?

man I tride everything I can think of I was hit by a car earlier this year so my memory on little things ain't so great but I been trying everything I don't remember password or name n I don't remember what street put I tride everything ..... n I can't afford to buy a new one it took me a while to save n get the pt, mac and the rest of the equipment I have .... I wish I saved it somewhere I hope some one can help me .....
