Problems with EZ Drummer2

I have just installed EZdrummer2 a couple of days ago and i am having terrible trouble with protools now. protools keeps stalling even if i have one stereo instrument track with ez drummer on it. I have been on to toontracks but they said to contact avid. It seems to me that ez drummer is buggy. Even if i increase the hardware buffer to 1024 it can stall. Sometimes it works fine and then it just freezes. I have protools 8.0.5, Osx 10.6.8 imac Intel dual-core 2.66GHz, 2 gig of ram. Protools runs without any problems without ezdrummer. Any help would be gladly appreciated

It would have made more sense to have released this as a public beta. It is NOT ready for prime time.

So hopefully they will release an update to fix the bugs. I havent heard many people getting the same problems as me. Maybe i should try uninstall it and download it again. Thanks anyway for your reply.

Couldn't agree more I am seeing huge cpu peaking in tiny sessions If you can, you might consider going back to the old version

I dont have EZDrummer 1. It seems to work fine as a stand alone application. Its just seems to be having problems with pro tools, so fingers crossed they release an update to fix this problem.

Haven't tried it in PT yet and away from the rig right now. VST version working beautifully in Cubase, though. With Tap 2 Find in particular, imo it blows away the competition - to me that's a conceptual leap we don't see often with VIs. Hopefully the RTAS / AAX fixes will be swift if its a widespread issue - have you reported directly to Toontrack? It's definitely worth the wait.

Yeah I got on to Toon Track but they said try the Avid forum. Its a great drum app and it sounds amazing so hopefully they will resolve this issue very soon, I'm sure they will. If anyone finds anything out post it up here.

Hi KT90. I hope your problem with easydrummer 2 has an easy fix because I just bought and installed it and this scares the hell out of me! I'm so midi dumb that I thought you had to have an instrument track for each drum part, (I.E.) separate tracks for kick, snare, etc. Each time I created a new instrument track and added ezdrummer as the insert it would crash! I still have a lot to learn, especially the ability to record the entire drum part without leaving the program but I love the realism.
