Default Sample Rate Problem in PT 11, but works fine in PT 10

I have checked and both my Firewire and Console are set to 88.2, which works fine in PT 10.

When I open my session in PT 10, I have NO problems.

When I try to Open, Create New any session in PT 11, it tells me that the playback engine doesn't support a sample rate of 44.1, even though everything is set to 88.2.

If I re-boot my console to 44.1, then PT 11 will create a session.

Using a Tascam DM-4800 console with Firewire at 88.2K
MAC OSX 10.8.4
Pro Tools 10.3.6
Pro Tools 11.0.1

What audio driver are you using? Did you download the latest one?

I'm on a DM3200 and usually the only time I get that message is when I try to switch the DM3200 from 96k to 44.1 or 48k without restarting Pro Tools.

Actually now you got me thinking, I haven't done anything above 44.1k in PT 11 yet.
I'll fire it up when I get home and see what happens and report back.

What driver would I use? I haven't needed any Avid drivers with any of the previous versions.

I can do all sample rates in PT 10. In PT 11, I can not do anything above 44.1. It's odd, but there has to be people using higher sample rates.

You don't need any special Avid drivers just the FireWire card drivers for the DM.

I haven't don't any mixing in PT 11 yet so I've just been messing around in 44.1 land. Now you got me wondering.

I should be back in the studio in a few hours and I'll fire up the system and see what I can find for you.

From Avid:

Why doesn't Pro Tools (v9 or later) see my third party audio interface?

The ability to use with 3rd party interfaces started with Pro Tools 9, and since the hardware drivers are not built-in (like they were with Pro Tools LE), you must install drivers for your interface in order to use it with Pro Tools.

Please go to your interface manufacturer's website to download and install the drivers for your specific interface.

If the proper drivers are installed, launching Pro Tools and holding the N key when you see the splash screen should open the Playback Engine dialog where you can select/confirm your hardware.
