Default select areas to search broken in 11.3.2

It was ok for me in 11.3.1.

from the read me 11.3.2 ... bug fixes:

>Yosemite only - Cannot navigate to folder with "Select Areas to Search" function >of Expand to New Tracks and indexing does not work at all version for 11.3.x >>(PT-200218)

But it's now broken in 11.3.2 (in 12.2 as well)

I have to "save and index" each time I want to expand a track....

I'm not a Mac Expert, but I heard that you have to have Spotlight enabled for search functions to work.

Spotlight is actually enabled ...

The search function works but you have to indicate the folder each time you use it ..... and when you edit movie dialog you do that hundreds of time a day

I'm very familiar with the field recorder workflow, and am indeed using it at the moment on a feature film.

On Windows at least, I've found that when it starts forgetting the last search and index you did, it's a sign that the wavecache file is corrupt. Try shutting down ProTools and deleting the wavecache file, then reboot and restart ProTools. You'll have to do another scsn and index, but I've found that once you take this action, it sticks, until the next time the wavecache gets corrupt...

I've also found on both my Mac (Mavericks) and Windows setups, that if you have "automatically copy on input" enabled, field recorder workflow often crashes. If you have it set to "refer when possible" it happily relinks to the original audio. Once you have the audio you need, it's then best to do a "save session copy in" with Audio, to collect all the audio you're using into one place.

Thanks for your suggestions.
I tried both with no success.
I think something is broken as when I revert to 11.3.1 it works again
thanks again

I'm seeing this behaviour too.

One step forward two steps back

Funny yes ... I revert to PT11 because of this issue in 12 (and the cmd-alt-/ shortcut broken too) and now Avid breaks it in 11 too !!!!

I just found that actually I only have to "save" rather than "save and index" and it then seems to get it (after five seconds of searching).

Still a bug but maybe not the as bad
