DITTO on that...
The 1st PC i ever saw was under glass at the AES show in NYC when I was just a wee tot... It was supposed to have ....plug-in control by the faders!!!!!
Those claw marks on the glass case were mine.

I can't wait.

how about automation for filterssweeping for example and basicly, every single parameter I can think off which I do not only want to automate but also control .......... eq, dynamics, whatever, seems like a much cooler way to edit with the faders then with the knobs ......... gain, treshhold, q, frequency, almost everything ..........

oh yes, and for reverb parameter editing / automation (touch-sensitive of course).

I used to have a O2R with a tc-unity inside and it was realy cool being able to control al the parameters with the faders. Wait till you try it Jules. I`m quite sure you`ll like it.

Not dissagreeing, merely stamping my feet for an explination to set me off on ideas myself!
I geddit now. Do the 3rd party guys have to design for it? Or do we just set it up outselves?
What if the owner of the ProControl is to dumb to even find a page in the manual, will there be, like, a service where Gannon comes out and sets up every plug-in you have to work on faders, for like, a tuna sandwich and a coke or something?

Ha! Better be a really good sandwich! It's really cool and easy to use. All plg-ins get it 'for free' without any additional work on the 3rd party developers. We do it all on ProControl locally. Simply press <CMD><FLIP> and the plug-in that was focused in the DSP Edit Asign section pops down to the faders on the Main unit. Pages are still accessed by the Matrix.

I use it for filter rides on sound recorded in the field, it's the best! You'll see.

Cheers!

Tuna with bacon and 12 month cheddar melted on top...
and a vanilla coke.
