Using SOME of the C24 preamps is easy. Just connect a DB25-DB25 cable to 9-16 on the 192. Using other than groups of 8 requires a patchbay(or other "creative" wiring). 192 outputs? Usually another DB25-DB25 to the monitor IN section, or bypass and use an external monitor/source switcher(Dangerous, Presonus Central Station, Makie Big Knob, etc). Given the "plain vanilla" of the C24 preamps, 8 is all I would use and fill the other 8 inputs(or the 192) with some "character" preamps(API or Neve clones). A mid-level option is the Midas XL-48. 8 channels of preamps that are excellent on drums for around $850 US

Right, with my command 8 I can have my Mac audio output connected to the external source on the command 8 so I can change from ProTools Audio to say YouTube audio at the press of a button from looking at the c24 this doesn’t seem possible.

These are the cables......iirc it's a big deal b/c the C24 doesn't have standard pinouts.....I don't remember exactly but I believe LCR on the main output is actually like LRC or something or other.

Once you dive into the manual and look for your pinouts you will see what I am talking about.

But the good side is that the manual is pretty clear and well written. If I were you I would ask Avid to send you a hard copy.....

Thanks YYR123 I have them cable sets already. I’ve also downloaded the c24 manual which only shows 2 set ups. Stereo with an 003 and 5.1 with a 192. Its a bit confusing really as I have a 192 and don’t care for 5.1, just stereo really

If it is the C|24, the meter bridge should be the only thing on the back angled part of the console. If that is the case, then I would be glad to help. I went through the whole setup on the C|24 not that long ago. Regarding the stereo out, L is 1 and R is 3 (C is 2).

That would be awesome if you could help out I’d love to get the c24 up and running but don’t want to lose my work flow by doing it. My biggest issue is being able to play YouTube etc from the MacPro through the monitor section on the desk.

here is an explanation of what i need

I have a 192 with 16 analog ins and 8 analog outs
I have a behringer patch bay
My main vocal Pre is a focusrite liquid channel.
Headphone amp is a behringer HA4700

I work in stereo.

With one db25 to jack cable is it possible to run my main outs (studio speakers) and then 3 seperate headphone outs into my HA4700 headphone amp. What i dont want to do is buy a DB25 to jack cable and only have the fist 2 outs being used and the other 6 redundant.

At the moment my outs of the 192 using a DB25 cable to XLR are as follows
1-2 Main studio speaker outs
3-4 Headphone out 1
5-6 Headphone out 2
7-8 Headphone out 3

Can this be done with the C24 and a 192 so i can use the monitor section of the C24 and still have 3 separate headphone outs going to the HA4700

Raoul23

Now you have a minimum of 3 threads discussing the wxact same thing and it is very hard to follow as you will have different answers on those three threads.

If this thread is what you wanna use then I suggest removing the other threads as there are reasons why several threads for the same topic is against the forum guidelines.

Thanks
