In what exactly, besides the obvious HD/Native base, are they different?

"LE" versions generally meant "Native". But, with very few exceptions, they were the same plugin in means of features and usage.

This is what makes me wonder about their future ... surely would have been easy to put out a native version if they've done the DSP ones?! Unless they just like to release updates in batches and it's easier to release a single batch of 64-bit AAX (skipping the 32-bit ones just for PT10) with the PT11 release?
