PCMCIA Cardbus Firewire Card
So I just won an IBM Thinkpad R50 off eBay, and I didn't realize until now that it possibly doesn't have built in firewire. Apparently they used to put it on the earlier models, but didn't include it on the later ones .
It says on the Digi compatibility page that PCMCIA firewire cards are not tested, and therefore not supported. However, I was wondering if anyone here has any experience using them, or with using a Thinkpad r50 at all...this one has a Pentium M 1.4 with 1 gig of ram. I figured there shouldn't be too many problems considering it's one of Digi's recommended laptops....but I'm sure that doesn't really mean a whole lot.
