Default Mac Pro 5,1 Hex core HDX - Best Macosx upgrade from El Capitan?
Hey,

I want to upgrade to an Avid support Macosx. I currently use El Capitan, on a 3.46ghz hex core with 32gb ram, and SSDs for all drives. Runs well, but need to be more up to date with protools, and noticed that 2019.10 is not supported on 10.11 macosx. Cant find any download links that work for Sierra, or High Sierra, so any help finding those would help also.

Thanks in advance for any advice/experience.

If your support plan is active, you should have the links on your account.avid.com and if it has lapsed you need to renew your support plan.

I'm guessing OP is not looking for PT installers, but MacOS installers, Janne.
Belolab; I'm on old HW/SW myself, so I'm not very able to help.

Thanks Ben, yep, looking for Macosx installers, and any experience with the 2010 mac pro and the Sierra/High Sierra Macosx's

Sorry, missed that. Obviously you need to go to Apple App Store and search for it, then download, and google how to make USB installer.

I would suggest to the OP that Mojave is the best OS (at least for my system). Have been running 10.14.3 flawlessly here with PT 2019.6.

And of course you’ll need a metal compatible graphics card. Plenty of threads on here about that.
