PT 12.8.2 errorcode Assertion line 822

I get an error code on my MacBook Pro 15" 2016
OSX SIERRA

Code on start and then pt goes off: Could not complete your request because Assertion in "/Volumes/Development/212377/ProTools/AAE/Source/AAX/CFicAAXWidget.cpp", line 822.

In the past, any time I ever saw the word "Assertion..." in an error message, I just went and trashed the PT preferences and that seemed to do the trick.

I had that error on my migrated test boot clone. (Migrated from 10.12)

Test 2 Install over 10.12 did fine

Clean and new installes did okay but less compatible with 3rd party drivers.

Same problem here... after installing Pro Tools 12.8.2. It worked the day before, and now, with my clients sitting in the Studio behind me, nothing works. Some Plugins show "Fatal Errors", which they never did before. Already trashed Prefs etc., uninstalled what could be uninstalled, reinstalled Pro Tools 12.8.1, but the Pro Tools spalsh screen still says 12.8.2

remember if on a mac you can install more than one version of PT .. just rename them !!! this way the Client Stress can be less .. you what works with them and test the other alone ..

Sounds like a plan. What does this mean, and how do you do it? I have the same error after updating Pro Tools yesterday.

My MAN! I just trashed the AAE one, because I was guessing that's where the crappines was located, and KOWZINGA! it all opend up. Thanks!
