Default USD lock to NAGRA, Digi?

Hey Digi:
I want to lock PT via my USD to a Nagra. Clock will be Pilot ton. What are all the details? No SMPTE. Using a Nagra 4.2. Do I need the Nagra resolver board? Cable wiring details? The USD manual is sketchy in this regard. Let me know.

PT Mix w/4.3.2
USD 312b1
Thanks,

So do I just wire the DB25 pins 15 & 16 to Nagra pilot out neg and pos, respectively? Do I need to jumper the shell to chassis ground on the Nagra? The manual says I'll ruin opto isolators if I do this wrong. I don'wanna do this wrong....
Hello?

Ok COCO no one is jumping in so I will.

Even tho I don't have an answer for you , not a total one.

I had a 4.2 that had a resolver built in. But I don't think they all do. Just do a test. Pick your longest cut and lay it in, if it syncs your all set. Make sure when you play back that you go to the farthest position, the one that monitors thru the built in speaker in the NAGRA, this is what engages the resolver.

I don't have any ideas on slaving the USD to the pilot tone, sorry.
How long are the takes ?
Can you get by laying them in with the USD locked to blackburst ?

Thanks Kasper. I don't know how long the takes will be yet. I'm trying to get setup so I don't have to "test" with client here. I don't think I need the resolver board on the Nagra for this, but I can't remember. I do have blackburst here.

I usually get projects with location sound on DATs; or I have them transfered to DAT synchonously at a house. It's easier. But this time....

Update:
I do need the resolver board and pilot is taken out of the ATN (Nagra p.spply.) I still want to know about the ground issues between DB25 shell at USD and ATN chassis.
