Default Is Automation delay compensated via ADC?

Just did the step to 8.03cs2 and 10.6.2...
I opened old 7.4 sessions with ADC on and had the following problem:
The automation is not in sync with the audio. If I have a loud clip taken down 25dB I hear a short loud glitch in the first bit of the file. If I turn off ADC it's gone. It seems like PT 8.03 ADC is compensating only the audio regions not the automation.

Do others have the same problem?

Hi,

As long as the automation is on the "audio track" and the track is not showing red indicating the ADC has been exceeded it should be spot on.

If by any chance you are automating on an "AUX/Bus" then the automation can be off against any regions that are fed to the aux/bus, especially if there are plugs on the aux

Hi Chris,
I take a region, switch to volume view, double click with I-bar, and lower the volume let's say 25dB. With ADC on I hear a loud glitch (what ever is on the first ms of the region, but 25dB too loud)
are you running 8.03cs2 and can try it on your machine? thanks

Titus

I don't think PT automation has ever been sample accurate. Most film guys I know really hate this for leveling backgrounds. I personally find it annoying that PT automation is too slow to make tempo-sync'd pans or filter sweeps reliably, but occasionally fast enough to make a "click" or "pop". Which is it, fast or slow?!

I found out that it might be an issue opening 7.4 sessions in 8.03. The ADC stuff gets messed up somehow.
Create a new session in 8.03 and the problem seems gone.
