Sia Smaart and Digi 002r not working!?!

Hey all!
I would like to use my 002r together with my Laptop PC live for measuring rooms acoustics.
Now unfortunately Smaart does not see the 002r as a audio device... Midi is OK, but I cannot get it running. I have installed all drivers (ASIO, WAVE,...) that come on the PT LE 6.7. CD.
The Laptop is a Think Pad 600X Type 2645-4EG (from 2000) running Win XP SP1a. It´s a 498 MHz Intel Pentium III Processor with the full 576MB RAM installed. (Yes I know, this is a slow Computer, but it WORKS!!!)
If anyone has any idea it would be greatly appreciated!!!

Smaart doesn't need even the quality of the 002R to accurately report the room. All you need is a computer sound card with two inputs, a mic input and a line input. You can set the levels if you use a small exterior mixer before it goes into the computer. I have used my 002 in standalone mode and used its Aux outs...but I don't think you can do that with the 002R.

exactly, you need a soundcard. a soundcard with phantom power for the measurement mic.
Some of my collegues use the m-audio interface (forgot the model#)... but I would like to use the 002r. it just doesn´t appear as an IN or Output device in smaart. Why is that???
I must/should be possible, right??
or am I that stupid?

SMAART works fine with the Tascam USBpre

You need to add Smaart to the 'compatible applications' list for the Wavedriver.

MMEHelper can help with that.

I installed this and it is working for the OUTPUTS of smaart!
I still cannot choose the Input!
I am quite shure I´ve tried all settings, but nothing...
Is there anyone out there who has got this working??? Smaart and a Digi 002r???
I must be doing something wrong....

I installed the wavedriver, I installed the Helper, I updated the Driver with the helper, I choose the in and outputs in smaart - but there is no choice on the Input panel... (Options -> Devices)

Do I really have to get another Soundcard?? I want my Digi Stuff with me on the road!!

You will be much happier with the USBpre or similar. And as AFAIK, there is no way to have any other program "see" the 002 inputs. You could put the 002 in stand-alone mode and feed its analog outputs to a line input if your computer has one. If that's your choice, tell SMAART to get input from your sound card.
