Default DSP/Native switching issues

Hi folks, I've been all over trying to find a solution here. Somehow, most of my plugins are in Native mode, but now when I arm a track, that track switches to DSP mode and locks out Native plugins. From that point on I can't seem to access Native plugins and am limited to DSP plugins, even after the track is unarmed from record.

I've been through Preferences (trashed 2 weeks ago) but cannot find how to deal with this.

Is there a way to fix this, keeps plugins Native? I feel like I'm missing some preference somewhere, but cannot find it.

Mac Pro (late 2013) 128GB 8-core
Monterey 12.6.7
PT 2023.3.0
HDX cards into Sonnet chassis
(2) MTRX chassis

No other issues at present.

thanks! I'm stumped!

Most likely because the "Enable DSP when Tracks are Record Armed box is checked
Just open Settings > Operations > Record and uncheck it (red arrow below)

Hi Bengineer,

Have you already tried importing your session's data to a new session? Let us know if the same issue happens.

Thanks!
