Help with firewire-chaining w/ FW1814
My laptop has only one FW-port. I want to use my LaCie-FW-drive with my M-Audio FW1814. How to chain them, without frying anything?

Re: Help with firewire-chaining w/ FW1814
If it is a PC, you will need to get a firewire card. Chaining a drive to the 1814 does not work, even though the documentation says it does. Search in this forum and you will find a lot of posts regarding this. I got a firewire PC card with a TI chipset that works well. You can also use your drive via USB 2.
