hd native + apogee symphony?

Agreed, most normal dealers(i.e. sweetwater, vintge king, etc) will force the "bundle" deal on you. But options are out there if you don't feel like being force fed a package deal. I too almost got trapped by this, but a little searching proved that there were plenty of card/software only HD Native options on the market for around $2250.

No Control surface, all in the box here. Everything is still running nicely to date after doing the update to 10.3.3 with no issues. Being mostly remote capture stuff going on, I had a rare chance to do some BG Vocal tracking to a mostly mixed (in the box) session today running at 88.2. No latency issues with the artist running at 256 sample buffer.
