Workstation follows most recently attentioned track

Forgive me if I've missed a similar thread.

Does 'Workstation follows most recently attention track' only function when a fader is attentioned from the console - and not the DAW? We have all the 'Attentioned/selected most recently Selected/attentioned' ticked in the menu.

Currently operating with 2 S6 systems - PT 2018.4 // S6 18.3 and on the other PT 2019.6 //S6 19.12 and it's the same behaviour on both.

The pref that filters triggers from the DAW is titled:
Attention from Focused DAW Only.

Which will ignore trigger interactions from any other Workstation that is not the Attentioned. So - clicking on a plug-in with the Attention Most Recently Clicked DAW Area (Plug-Ins) enabled will not trigger Attention unless that WS is focused.

I am able to map to the attention fader from all workstations. But the rest of the consoles faders and soft keys do not seem to switch workstation to match.

I think I need a bit more data on the problem. Press the WS button to display all connected WSs on soft keys or Shift + WS to display all WSs from the network and connected on the Master Module. Pressing a WS here will populate all of the tracks and data from the focused WS. Soft Keys are specific to the focused WS unless you start experimenting with Multi-WS soft keys which is a different conversation. Open a Spill Zone then go to WS and touch a different WS to dump those tracks into a Spill Zone bucket.

We have 2 workstations on our s6, one with 400 tracks and the other with 200. They're both quite resource heavy.

We're wanting to be able to select a track in the DAW and for the workstation to switch but at the moment, this doesn't happen.

It's odd behaviour as the attention fader still updates to the track selected no matter which workstation it's on, but the workstation itself and subsequently the soft keys and transport on the s6 don't update.

If we attention from the s6 itself, the workstations will switch and behave as normal.

"Workstation follows most recently attention track" is ticked.

To take things further, we've created a layout with only two tracks in, one from each workstation. If either of these two are selected in their respective DAWs, then the workstation attention works as intended, with soft keys and transport switching. If we select any other track apart from these two in the layout, the workstation doesn't switch.

Thanks. A few more questions as I look into this...

(1) Are you using a KVM? If so, which one?
(2) Version of S6 Master Module?
(3) Which DAW (Pro Tools?) and what version for both Workstations?
(4) Workstations are Mac or Windows? If Mac - what OS?

(1) no KVM connected to or in control of the s6 - we use Blackbox but this is on an entirely different network

(2) S6 and WS control is 19.5.1. We have also tried S6 version 19.12 and

(3) Pro Tools 19.6

(4) Mac Sierra 10.12.6

I am looking at this currently with a pair of connected Pro Tools Workstations and am not experiencing any issues. Master Module is on 20.5.0.149, and the Pro Tools workstations are running Pro Tools 20.5.

I am able to simply click on a track from the Edit Window -> which triggers Attention Most Recently Clicked DAW area -> then in combination with Focus Workstation of Most Recently Attentioned Track -> the console immediately flips over to show the appropriate WS's tracks.

It is possible that it could be the specific interaction between your WS and S6 versions. It would be helpful to start a case if you could, then we could have someone dig in on it. Here's the process:
