Aaron,

I'm back..yes. Until at least next week, when taking a 10 day or so longish trip all across the lovely NY state..visiting friends. May even look up some more analog junk..
>> my teachers going to slap me if I don't finish this piece. >> I look at this from a whole different angle, but let's not go there dig ??

That's just it...good analog costs some serious dough.
What board did you have to play with ? Also..if you didn't do much work in that domain before..it'll take a little time to adjust. There is a different type of knowledge required to hook up, calibrate, gain stage, route, etc all that gear.
I started way back, and had worked on many of the best analog equipment...for me it's the opposite.
Still being a bit uncomfortable with a complex PT session. And never even touched mitti yet.

Be good....

It looks like, you are trying too hard to do something real simple.....If you just dub the vocal you will spend less time fixing your problem....moving the 2 vocals around with eq should set them in the mix right...

Had a crazy weekend - 6 gigs. I went to the Big Band rehearsal tonight...the "JAzz Rats". 18 horns...man, it's like a freight train...!!! Great players...these guys can read anything.
Yo'll Kenny, your just a work horse, dog!

Regards!

No Aaron ..I am not a workhorse...maybe a bit " DYSFUCTIONAL...!!!" ...but at least I try to keep the "FUN" in dys "FUN' ctional. Sometimes playing in so many music situations with so many temperments + egos make me want to put down the bass and become a farmer. I actually love farming. I did not pick music, music picked me, so I try to weave through all the ego and the like.

How did your teacher like your piece? Andrew, that mind of yours....where do you come up with all these cool thoughts ?? You da man...!! Actually you give me a "Pain"...get it. Listened to the track last night..like it.

I guess Charlie is MIA now...Charlie, you all right ??

Best,

kENNy

Yo D.L,

Pain is coming alive real nicely...thank to you !
I've run into some scheduling issues (again..) with the orchestrator..so it might just be strings.
Real ones. A lot of them
RE: "my mind"...it's been boiling, pulsating and loading me up with ideas 24/7 lately. That's the age thing...I guess.
But it all started : way back here..32 years ago !!!
Found another really historic one as well : rocking on analog around 1988
..around the time most of the DUC members had their first diaper change...

keep it up man !!!

Hey guys, I'm with Andrew on this one, those damn aliens are making their rounds eh...

anyways...

Kenny: thanks for the concern brotha, everything is cool just keeping very busy with work, got a couple sites I coded on the side, just got back from a conference in Sterling Heights for photography, and another conference (my wife and her friend were attending not me, but I went along) where I explored Chicago for a couple days on my own and had a blast. and yes you are right man, gotta get the bike out and get ready to roll. Its actually 60's up here right now! I can't believe it.. how's everything otherwise?

Andrew: my long lost analog slinging, G's drinking, student hanging friend. lol Hope all is cool man. I know what you mean about those aliens and abductions every once and a while. what new gear/toys did you aquire? pics? how's that killer dog treating you? family good?

Aaron: which piece you working on? is the teacher standing over you with a ruler slapping the back of your hands going "Play, Play, Play?" lol either that or you have this hot for teacher van halen thing going on and the teacher is hooked up with something in leather and that is where you have dissapeared to eh? or... it could be aliens or just plain surfing season eh? hehe

Stiff: how's that analog board treating you man? the video's are a riot btw. I got a chance to check out a couple about a week ago and they're cool. how's the blog going? keeping outta trouble otherwise?

who else is lurking out here now days? be good guys

It sure was back in those days...I love healthy looking racks
The thing is Kenny...most of that stuff I bought used/second hand. Spent a lot of time fixing, remodding and getting it repaired.
I still have about 60% of those in every day use and bought a whole lot more since.
There isn't another way to get where I like going..sonically. Dig ??
I'll try to snap new pix tonight when I'm in session..

Just met an old friend and he proudly showed off his "new" 64 P bass...he he
I was immediately thinking of your sound !!
Thingz go good in FLA ? Send me an orange for God's sake.
