Just saw this blurb and maybe you all seen it but I hadn’t so just in case here is the article.

Cakewalk reissued from Bandlab and free to download ... Apparently ... Derived from Sonar Platinum and sounds very cool!

I'm a new kid on the block. Just joined this forum. I too just downloaded and installed the free version of Cakewalk. I hope I'm in the right place, right thread to post and ask questions about Cakewalk. I joined this forum because I am brand spanking new to the entire DAW world. I'm also using an I/O box for the first time. My I/O box is an M-Audio Fast Track Ultra. So, again, am I in the right place for this? Thanks for any help!

First off, welcome to the DUC. Since this user conference is really about Pro Tools, you're not likely to get much help with other DAW's. Your best bet is to see if there is a user area for Cakewalk and Bandlab users

Here's a link to the Cakewalk forums: http://forum.cakewalk.com/default.aspx
I actually started out with Sonar on my ancient Windows system. It's a capable DAW that had many features WAYY before most other daws had them. Shame they never did a true version for Macs
