I like TrueVerb on Drums and D-Verb on Vox and other things that sometimes need it such as clean guitars.

TrueVerb is only 200 bucks.

there is this
http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/MX200/
but i dont know how it sounds, it's been out for a little while so maybe there's some reviews now.

Play and tweak with Dverb. It isnt that bad, just not suitable in all situations. Also have a good look at the delays in ptle. They can add verb-like effects.....

...a reverb that is not killing your CPU - that is a Hardware reverb like TC M-One or Lexicon... Spend some more time tweaking the D-verb, it can be really good for some applications, like Room - and use the hardware for Halls!

What about waves IR-1 or other convolution reverbs? Though I know they're supposed to kill performance, you can always print them.

Generally speaking, reverb is one thing that's best left outboard if you can. It sucks a lot of CPU juice. However, I just demoed the WaveArts plugins (not to be confused with Waves plugins). The reverb is not as flash as TrueVerb, but it is a very nice, musical reverb and pretty cheap. And very light on CPU!!!!

It's not the bees knees of reverbs but definitely worth checking out.

i usually use room 1 or 2 with a small or medium setting, then sometimes i adjust the decay, i don't really mess around too much cuz i'm usually happy with it.

who makes true verb?

i bet that oxford reverb sounds great but it is just so loaded with crap. i like simple things.

i do have a rack mount quadraverb that i like the sound of but i havent got a clus how to utilize it with my oo2r.

plus i hear about latency with outboard gear and i dont want to dick with that. i want to make music.

perhaps someone can give me the low-down on how to use my quadraverb?
thanks
-jay

True Verb is made by Wave's

does that quadraverb have SPDIF ins/outs?

if it does you can use that and there won't be any latency.

the name of the unit sounds to me like there's 4 channels. if so you would only be able to use 2 channel's with the SPDIF
