Click and Grid

What's the best and easier way to put a click in
Pro tools and have it aligned to grid.

I used to employ the virus plugin to generate click have recorded it on one track but it never
align with grid

This is written for LE, but it's the same for TDM - using Quick Time. I use it, it's easy.

what I do is use quick time, and instead of routing the click to the Ext speakers of my Mac I just use a stereo headphone jack to 1/4" You can get them from Radio shack) and rouet it back into protools on it's own track.It works great

one thing I've done in the past is to record the sound of a rimshot, trim it to size, audiosuite / duplicate, and keep it as tiny audio file called 'click' I can import into any session. then I just paste it in where necessary. there's no latency problems this way, but it's a PITA if you're trying out different tempos.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">I've got a session filled with 1 bar click regions,some with just clicks and some with shakes added, trimmed to the exact grid lengths for that tempo that I search through by clicking on the region and using the loop playback - this works pretty good too...
