I'm excited to put the new marker enhancements to use. I'm not using a VENUE system but it's great that you can recall snapshots via mem. locations in Pro Tools now. I would love if I could address EUCON layouts in the same way!

I think would have liked if the Track Markers lane appeared above the target track rather than below. This is because the main Timeline Markers track has always been above the tracks and visually I expect that convention to flow down. Does anyone else feel this way? Not a dealbreaker and I may change my mind about this as the feature sees more use.

Anything about fixing Elastique? It feels like Avid have never taken the whole Elastic implementation that seriously.

No mention in the What's New doc.

Marker Follows Edit (MFE) is going to be a game changer for long-form voice-over projects like audiobooks and e-learning. I'm really stoked on that.

One of the bugs fixed is audiosuites preserving clip mute state when processing with "individual files"

This has been plaguing me for years now and cost me serious amounts of time. If it's finally been fixed for real I will shed a tear man, thank goodness

Admittedly I haven't yet checked the full What's New doc but does anyone know if the timeline display issue has been fixed (downbeats showed an incorrect, earlier time)?

Also, have they fixed the issue in Silicon Native where PT was unable to import AAC audio from MP4 video files?

These are big and long-existing bugs so I hope so.

anyone else getting AAE 6101 Error on launch with HD driver 2023.6? I reverted to HD driver 2013.3 with the new PT 2023.6 and it works again.

It does appear that the Bars/Beats timeline display issue has been resolved. Clicking downbeats in a session which formerly showed 9-hundred and something now correctly shows x.x.0.

It also appears that AAC audio import from MP4 files is now allowed for PT Native.

Excellent news on both fronts.
