Default PTLE 8 with M-box 2 on Macbook causing headache.

Hello all!

I'm a long time digidesign user, but a M-box 2 first timer who's run into some trouble.

The problem is that Pro Tools won't start at all but crashes and leaves an error report for me to send to Apple. (It crashes while loading SignalTools.dpm or sometimes something else)
I've tried with the PTLE8 original download (no PT version installed previously on the computer) and I've also tried with cs 1 installed but the problem remains the same.

After checking the answerbase and the "stickies" on this forum I've also tried disabling bluetooth, airport, firewire networking and repairing my permissions.
Didn't help at all I'm afraid, so now I'm hoping any of you guys might have a solution to this problem.

Cheers / Joakim

OS Version: Mac OS X 10.5.5, it's stated in the beginning of the error report.
(Should have been in the first post obviously, I'll fix that)

Could this be a PACE driver issue? I know on PC's, updating PACE drivers often fix crashes when opening PT.

Make sure you are fully compliant with this page:
http://www.digidesign.com/index.cfm?...4&itemid=36933

Also, try plugging your mbox into a different usb port. Do not use a hub.

I am having the same problem with my 24 inch imac. I am running os 10.5.6 2.8g duo along with pt8cs1. Digicore won't even read my mbox2, despite the fact that I can read it in the "sound" menu under preferances. I tried reinstalling, and all the little quirk things listed above. Any help?

Same thing here - Pro Tools 8 LE quits unexpectedly on 10.5.6 (MacBook Pro), upon starting up (just like it does with Garage Band).

Fix, Digi? :/

I've tried both USB-ports without a hub, and I'm fully compliant with that page.
Got the latest CoreAudio-drivers also, and uninstalling them didn't have any effect.

Anyone other ideas?
