Default Stereo tracks recording out of sync

I just did a multi-track drum take on a hd3 rig on a 192 I/O & a 96 I/O and the stereo track the overheads are on has one side out of sync by 1023 samples.
ie One side has to bumped 1023 samples late to sound normal.
This is my first go on pt7 in this mode and it's been fine for the last 10 days but I was mixing.
Anyone seen this before and know how to make it stop?
thanks
