Default Intel Dual Core and Protools LE6.4 causes Reboot!

I've just bought a new Intel Core Duo with Windows XP Service Pack 2 and I can't get my

Protools LE 6.4 to run. After installing Protools, I click on the icon and my computer

reboots!

In accordance with the forum article "General Troubleshooting - Pro Tools 6 & 7 Win XP"

(http://duc.digidesign.com/showflat.p...&Number=802377),I've tried downloading and

applying the Windows XP Dual Core Hotfix and I can't disable Hyper Threading as the option

to do so is not available in my Bios.

I've also tried uninstalling and reinstalling Protools several times.

Has anybody else experienced this problem? Please help!

6.4 does not support dual cores. You will need to diable one core or upgrade to PT version 7.0 or higher.

This assumes you don't have a Digi001 in which case your locked into 6.4

You need to upgrade to PTLE 6.4 cs9 and update your pace drivers (paceap.com) to work with Service Pack 2. It's a known issue. The dual core is not supported until PTLE 7.0 or higher.

Upgraded to 6.4 cs9 and updated drivers and pro tools now works! Thank you very much for the advice. I appreciate it!
