Default My system drive keeps shrinking,...???

Hi there lately i've been having problems with my Windows XP PC,in a period of 2-3 days my system drive keeps running out of space.I would move some files /1 gb/to my other drives but after while its back to like 100-50 Mg.I don't safe anything on it.Is it a virus or is it something else???
A few other things have been messed up lately:
1. i can't never open the Task manager window any more /Cntrl+Alt +delete = nogthing show up.,or right click on the task bar, the sae thing/
2.I can't record or play audio CD's on my Sony DVD burner.
I know fresh re-install will fix everything ,but i'm in the middle of a project so can't play around too much.
Thank very much!!!

Certainly sounds like something a virus might do. That's why I never connect my PT machine to the internet. Some good freebies you can download/run. Spybot Search and Destroy, Ad-aware, AntiVir or Grisoft's free antivirus. Once you run them, I would uninstall them so they won't conflict with PT.
