For the era of Mac I would say High Sierra 10.13.6.
However your current 12 core, how is it for you now?

Second for HS. You could install Mojave if you have Metal compatible GPU, and if you can install Mojave you most likely also can install Catalina. But the real question is why would you want to do that? HS is very good for your box and fully supported so just stick with it.

Hi, thanks for the replies

my system is good, I see I can go to Mojave..
But High Sierra may be better now?

I just want to go to PT 2020 if is as solid as PT 2019..I just love track folders...

So I wonder if going to High Sierra would be better than staying in Sierra

I realized this compatibility even with Pro Tools 2019:

Intel® Mac with macOS 10.13.6, 10.14.6 or 10.15.3

So will be better to go to high Sierra I guess...

what do you think guys?

Thank you

Mojave if you have upgraded the GPU with a Metal capable one. High Sierra otherwise.
