Default 24bit sessions saved as 16bit

We're having some trouble saving sessions as 24bits. When we open a 24bit session and then Save As - the icon turns to the 16bit icon.

If we start a new session and choose 24 bit - the icon appears as a 16bit session.

I've trashed the DAE prefs folder, the Digisetup and Pro Tools prefs and rebuilt.

We're running 5.0 on OS 9 with BW G3 350's.

Any way to tell if it's a system level icon problem? Or is there some 5.0 setup thing we missed. It appears that all the old 4.3.1 sessions are right, while the 5.0 ones are problematic.

Thanks!

Lou

I vaguely remember some issue with the icons and PT LE when 5.0 was first released. All session icons on my system look the same, since "upgrading" to OS9. Even though the icons look wrong, the sessions themselves are correct.

Thanks -

anyone else have any experience with this? Perhaps some official word?

Is OS9 and PT 5.0 buggy in this way? I installed them at the same time, so I have no way of knowing which is the culprit. (Although it seems as though 4.3.1 acts the same way...)

Thanks,

Lou

Are you sure you didn't start them as 16 bit sessions by accident? I did this recently but then I am an idiot , which you are probably not!
