If Avid releases an update why should it not be understood that the update is stable? Avid should not be given any slack in their product updates. They have done a complete disservice to their customer base by releasing junk.

12.4 has been OK .. except for the Commit Bug and a few other things .. this is a real mess .. and no one is explaining how it will be repaired or that there is even a problem .. Tony C looks nervous .. what if PT11 is your only stable version and you have Paid and have been Waiting for a Stable PT12 .. for about a year .. i would be pissed too .. i have lost files, had crashes for no reason, looked like a fool in front of clients .. all the fun stuff .. and sept is coming to soon .. when my subscription Wears me Out .. haha

For a lot of users 12.4 is not OK. Noise blast has been a big issue with this version.

Because of all the people complaining on the forums. When the forums go real quiet or are full of people trading mixing tips, the current version is the one to install and run for the next 2 years.

ok yes, i had one noise blast / Commit Undo bug ... not as bad as what others have experienced though ... i would have to go back to 11.3.2 to get mostly stable again ...

For me, the closest to stability was 10.3.9. But offline bounce has become rather essential to my workflow, so for that reason alone it's not a great option.

Every version of PT11 and PT12 up to and including 12.4 has had significant video engine issues in Windows. PT12.5 has fixed those, and introduced more general instability and playback stalls.

So which version do you think I should use, Philthy?
