Default Updating OS and PT, will there be probs? (also Battery 3)

Hey, I´m about to Crossgrade to PT 9 and I´m gonna buy me the latest OS for Mac (I´ve heared there´s Os XI right now...), are there gonna be any problems??

Like PT isn´t running with this and that and blabla.....we´ve all had it before^^.

Also, does anyone know how it´s gonna be with Battery 3? Same story here....

Bad call

Protools 9 requirements

You should never blindly update your OS to the "latest and greatest"

And the newest Mac OS (not quite released yet) is Lion 10.7. Still OS X

Did you go to the link I posted? If not, you should.

10.5.8 is not supported for PT9, according to that page.

It's important to check which OS the app needs. Avid has approved 10.6.8 as the latest to work with PT9. 10.5.8 won't work with PT9.

"Snow Leopard: Mac OS X 10.6.2, 10.6.3, 10.6.4, 10.6.5, 10.6.6, 10.6.7 or 10.6.8 (32 or 64-bit)"

http://avid.custkb.com/avid/app/self...p?DocId=380547

Check back here to see when the new 10.8 is approved. You may need a new version of PT to run with it.

You can't use a PPC with PT9.

You will also need to update your plug-ins.

yeah, I´ve seen that, getting the update should be the smallest problem. the bigger problem is getting everything running I think^^

thanks so far, more questions to come if something won´t work...and that will happen for sure!
